Jamal Anansi
Writer / Creator

Jamal Anansi has been a fan of Epic stories and Quests like The Odyssey, The Iliad, Greek Mythology, Sinbad The Sailor, The Lord of The Rings and many more since he first read them in elementary school, or saw them brought to life on the big screen. Born in South Central Los Angeles and being brought up primarily in Watts and Compton came with many hardships and struggles, however through the advice and encouragement of mentors and friends, Jamal sought to turn those struggles, traumas, and lessons into triumphs, creating an entire universe of characters and stories to help him cope with and rationalize all the lessons he's learned in life so far. Writing comics since 2017, he's honed his craft into the collection of stories he's presenting through his company Anansi Comics for the enjoyment and enlightenment of all. Welcome to The World of The Dark Ones.

Lukas Koelbel
Artist, Letters

German-American illustrator and designer Lukas Koelbel, creator of Grist and A Spacetime Daydream, has worked in the games and comics industries for 5 years. he has illustrated for titles such as Lord of Dust, Rain, and Hellmouth. Now, he works for Anansi Comics, bringing The World of The Dark Ones to the page.

Clovis Batebola
Artist

Clovis Batebola is a Comic Book Artist from Brazil. He started drawing at the same time he learned to read with the help of the teacher who used comics to teach him how to read. He is an artist from the periphery of Rio de Janeiro known as Estradinha. He worked on comics by authors from several countries, with emphasis on "O Kinngdom Come", which led him to win the award for best artist of 2023 by Glyph and was also nominated by the website CBR.COM as one of the best works of the same year.

Alberto Calafiore
Artist

Born in Palermo, Italy in 2001, Alberto Calafiore is a comic book artist and illustrator. Showing a strong attraction towards all forms of art since childhood, Alberto staryed learning them as a self-taught artist. In 2020 he joined the School of Comics (Scuola del Fumetto) where, after studying from masters of his craft, he graduated in 2003 and published his first comic "Kaiju Royale". After his graduation he has worked for a wide range of projects, from promotional comics for consulting agencies to YouTube thumbnails. Now, he mainly works on the "Ebony and The Golden Gun" miniseries by Jamal Anansi.
